2003 – The Vision
The foundation of C-Alpha Shipping was laid with a clear vision to create a reliable, knowledge-driven maritime services platform built on deep industry experience.
2004–2021 – Industry Experience
Over nearly two decades, our founders built distinguished maritime careers with A-listed shipowners including Clipper, MUR, Campbell, Dynacom Tankers, and Varun Shipping. Excelling at every stage of their progression—from cadets developing strong seamanship and operational discipline, to Master Mariners commanding vessels across international trade routes, and later serving as Marine Superintendents overseeing fleet operations—they gained comprehensive expertise in vessel management, safety systems, technical compliance, and commercial performance. This unique blend of frontline seagoing command and shore-based leadership has laid a strong foundation in ship ownership and fleet management, further reinforced through delivering consultancy and shipbroking services to a diverse global clientele.
2022 – Company Establishment
C-Alpha Shipping was officially established, bringing together years of expertise in maritime operations, chartering, and consultancy under one integrated organization.
2023 – Operational Growth
Expanded service offerings across chartering, time charter management, consultancy, survey & inspection, and freight forwarding, with a strong focus on maritime industry, bulk and project cargo.
2024 – Global Operations
Today, C-Alpha Shipping supports principals across major international trade routes through data-driven decision-making, voyage oversight, and end-to-end maritime solutions including key roles in Audits and marine investigations.

Capt. Fahim Shamsi is the Managing Director and CEO of C-Alpha Shipping Services and Consultancy OPC Pvt. Ltd. A Master Mariner with over two decades of international maritime experience, he leads the company with a strong commercial and operational focus.His expertise covers vessel chartering, cargo operations, port and terminal coordination, and global logistics management. Having progressed from Cadet to Master on ocean-going vessels, he brings practical shipboard knowledge into strategic decision-making. Under his leadership, C-Alpha delivers efficient, compliant, and commercially sound maritime solutions, built on professionalism, accountability, and operational excellence.

Senior marine professional with 20+ years of global industry experience, bringing strong expertise in vessel operations, resource management, chartering support, and regional business development across the Americas. A Certified ISO 9001:2015 Auditor and ISM / MLC / ISPS Internal Auditor, with a strong focus on compliance, safety management systems, and continuous improvement across maritime operations.
